The making of this small lamp was inspired by the emergence of summer. I have collected cowparsley flowers from local woodland here in St Leonards. I have then cut them up to make them even more delicate and pressed them into the surface of this small lamp. When the cowparsley comes out in May / June time I know that we are heading into the warmer months and the sight of them makes me happy. They are delicate to work with yet create a strong impression on the lamp surface. The light blue glaze was chosen to accentuate the pattern of the flowers and because it too makes me think of summer.
This Summer lamp would look great in any living area - on a book shelf or side table creating a warm relaxing glow when lit. Perfect to change down to a more comfortable mood in the evening.
The colour of the porcelain lamp may vary slightly from the image shown. There is a natural variation in the lighting as different environments effect the light levels emitted through the porcelain. H: 30cm x W: 18cm x D: 17cm
